Dairy Management: We are the only milk processors in the state of Colorado to live on the dairy with our animals giving us the ability to manage every aspect of the operation in great detail. From the time the calves are born, they receive the highest quality treatment. We put much time into prepping our heifer calves so they have the opportunity to reach their full potential as cows. Once they are milking for the dairy, we monitor them daily so we can know instantly when we have a cow feeling under the weather. This allows us to head off a lot of problems before they have an effect on the cow and subsequently our milk. If a cow does get sick she is pulled from the milking string, diagnosed, and treated accordingly. She must then pass rigorous milk quality tests before she can rejoin the milking herd. We feel these are the details that help set us apart.

Animal Ethics: We have always taken great pride in our business ethics but more importantly our animal ethics. We focus on running a quality, natural and efficient operation. We built upon the fact that the dairy cow is Mother Nature's recycler. We feed a nutritionally balanced ration using the highest quality feeds available. On the other end, all of the waste produced by the dairy is captured, composted, and then used as a natural fertilizer. Additionally, in cooperation with Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital we perform routine health checks on all the dairy cows, while providing a learning experience for veterinarian students. We also create a clean, relaxing, and comfortable environment making for happy cows and great tasting milk. Best of all, we are able to accomplish all of this without the assistance of rBST and other growth hormones.

Processing Plant: Once everything is said and done on the dairy we also have the newest processing plant in the state to finish the process of milking our cows and having a sealed marketable product. Our processing plant is top of the line in technology and is set up to operate in a very efficient manner. We have been state and federally approved to operate our plant. In addition, we must pass random and monthly quality inspection tests. These tests check everything from how we handle the empty bottles, to proper function and setting of the pasteurizer, to proper operation of all machinery like the separator and homogenizer. This not only gives us the ability to monitor our equipment, but also gives you the confidence that we are producing safe and wholesome milk.
